BACKSTAGE DRAMA SEASON - 3 THEME – MALEFICENT TEAM – MAKEUP MAVEN’S We have tried creating an exact replica of Maleficent and for entire look we have selected the ultimate fighting scene which very much justifies the title - "The Mistress of Evil". We have also added a character of her daughter “Aurora”, to show the Mother –Daughter Chemistry.

Thought Process:

Makeup: We have kept the face extremely fair and complemented with high sharp contouring to give the sculpted effect to her cheekbones followed by red bold lips. Eye makeup is kept simple with transition shades (dark brown) to give depth in the eyes and a tint of black in the outer V to give the smudge effect. Eyebrows kept thin and sharp and thinner beyond arch as shown. To give a spooky touch added green colored lens in the eyes. Eye lashes worn is of natural density. Kept the entire makeup as Matte, like the original one. Also we have contoured the jaw line to make it broad & create illusion of square shape jaw line. Highlighted the collar bone as well. Hair: We neatly tied her hair up as high as possible to form a horn base and made a small little braided bun with the original hair. Covered the baby hair and flyers with hair gel and hair spray. For the head gear we used the inner cardboard part of toilet rolls for the horn base, then created the upper shape by wrapping with newspaper. And for S-shaped look of the horns we used aluminum wire to give exact curves in the horns. After that ,we have applied mixture of fevicol and tissue paper to even it out and harden the horns and head base. For ear we have used enlarged triangular shaped thermocol, stuck the same on the head gear and covered it with insulation tape to give Fey like ear formation. After that for the leather textured effect in her horns ,we have used black insulation tape.We have covered the entire head base with tape and for the brooch on her head we have used big size fake nails, colored grey for the exact look. Nails: we have used fake pointed almond shaped nails with double coat of white nail enamel. Also to create the exact dress which she has worn in the fighting scene , we have used black acrylic paint for body art and used garbage bags to cover the upper body part. All the props (wings, stick) were hand made from the scratch.
